The Latvian Writers’ Union is announcing an OPEN CALL for applications for ONLY ENGLISH PUBLISHERS offering an opportunity to receive a grant for publishing and promoting Latvian literature abroad.
We invite legal persons/publishers from English-speaking countries that have experience working with Latvian authors or have interest in publishing Latvian literature to take part in the grant competition.
The deadline for applications is November 15th, 2017 (23:59 East European time). Only online submissions are accepted. Please submit your project applications online here.
The projects that receive financial support through the program have to be presented on LBF and completed by May 31rd, 2018.
The submitted projects will be evaluated by a jury of experts. The projects receiving financial support will be announced in December 2017.

The next grant competition for foreign publishers publishing Latvian literature abroad is scheduled for January 2018.
This competition is financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
