Business Information Centre “Magnetic Latvia”, located in the departure sector C of RIX, is inviting all visitors to enjoy the Latvian Literature Month from 3rd December through 3rd January. Here you can enjoy a hot and soothing drink while leafing through one of the excellent translations of Latvian literary works, relax in the “audio shower” and take the interactive #iamintrovert test.

The Literature Month exhibit has been put together by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) in collaboration with the “Latvian Literature” platform and Society “Ascendum”.

This has been a special year for Latvian literature, from the spectacular participation in the London book fair as one of the Market Focus countries to several dozens of translations of Latvian works published abroad in 25 languages. To celebrate this success, Business Information Centre “Magnetic Latvia” at Riga International Airport invites its visitors to enjoy one of these translations, as well as take a test to discover their matching Latvian scenery and take anti-selfies wearing our introverted quote coats. “We created this very campaign specially for the London Book Fair, and people loved it. We decided to give the Latvian public and guests a taste of it as well. A big thanks to LIAA for this great opportunity and challenge!” elaborated Inga Bodnarjuka-Mrazauskas, director of the “Latvian Literature” platform.

The exhibition includes the Audio Shower where the listener can enjoy recordings of works by Anna Auziņa, Inese Zandere, Kārlis Vērdiņš, Arvis Viguls, Eduards Aivars, Inga Gaile, Katrīna Rudzīte, Krišjānis Zeļģis, and other Latvian authors. The Audio Shower is a unique and creative way to promote your country, business, event and product both to the locals and visitors, therefore we are extremely pleased we could install this artwork at the “Magnetic Latvia” Centre, where so many people will now get the chance to interact with Latvian works of poetry, prose and their English translations,” elaborated “Ascendum” chairwoman, Zaiga Pūce.

Riga International Airport is the first place where foreign guests of Latvia get impressions about our country. The goal of the Magnetic Latvia Business is to address our guests by creating an image of Latvia as a versatile, modern, innovative and European-oriented country. It is a spacious room which welcomes both Latvian and foreign visitors and entrepreneurs.

The Business Centre “Magnetic Latvia” is located in the departure sector “C” and is open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM.
