Vilis Lācītis (nee Aleksandrs Ruģēns, aka William. B. Foreignerski, 1975) is a Latvian author and musician. Since 2007 Lācītis lives in United Kingdom. He studied anthrophology at Oxford University and has worked in construction and carpentry. In 2010 his debut novel Stroika ar skatu uz Londonu [Stroika With a London View] became a bestseller and the most read book in Latvian language. It was also nominated for the Annual Latvian Literary Award Best Debut in 2011. Recently Stroika With a London View has been translated into English.
