Lauris Veips (1992) is a poet and journalist. He studied at the University of Latvia Faculty of Humanities and is working in the editing department of Public broadcasting of Latvia (Latvijas Sabiedriskie Mediji, LSM.lv). Veips is one of the seven poets who is included in the young poet anthology Kā pārvarēt niezi galvaskausā [How to Overcome Itch in The Skull] published by Valters Dakša, compiled by Artis Ostups. In 2020 Veips published his debut collection of poems Interesting Days and was shortlisted for the Annual Latvian Literature Award.
